Cognitive dissonance occurs when the beliefs, values, or subconscious programming you’ve carried throughout life are in direct conflict with your conscious desires and goals. Even though you consciously want success, happiness, or healthy relationships, deep-rooted negative beliefs in your subconscious mind pull you in the opposite direction, creating mental, emotional, and energetic friction.
